RtH has jumped into 2018 with new music and a message they feel is so important for the Church. "Love Is" is an upbeat, percussion driven song that embraces the idea of sharing God's love with people free from our judgments and conditions. The track was recorded and produced by Mike Cochran at Homegrown Recordings. It was mixed by TK King at Tornado House Studios and mastered by Mike Cervantes at The Foxboro.
"But God proves His own love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8(HCSB).
Recording this song really reinforced the idea for me that Love, in and of itself, is action. When we SHOW God's love to not only those we like, but also for the least of these (Matt. 25:40), then the world will see Jesus.
"It's more than words, that will change the world/a driving force when our hearts converge."
-Shane Stevens (Keyboardist)
An upbeat, pop/rock version of Angels We Have Heard on High. The track was recorded and produced by Mike Cochran at Homegrown Recordings. It was mixed TK King at Tornado House Studios and mastered by Mike Cervantes at The Foxboro.
"Angels was a blast to record because we were able to branch out a bit in our style but still stay true to our overall sound. Easily my favorite RtH Christmas tune"
-Jonathan Nicholson (Bassist)
What Child is This?
The band took a bluesy approach on What Child is this. The track was recorded, produced and mixed by Mike Cochran at Homegrown Recordings. It was mastered by Mike Cervantes at The Foxboro.
"What Child is this" is one of my favorite Christmas tunes we have done to date! As most guitar players will tell you, it is always an experience to play a good blues (especially when your own father gets to lay down some nasty organ). However, this song has a far and away greater meaning with the Christmas season nearing and the celebration of Christ's birth; remember that music is but the vehicle for a greater message.
-Raice Stevens (Lead Guitarist)
Flatline was written by Mike and Sonny Jo Cochran. The original recording is a synth driven pop song. This version is a scaled down, acoustic version recorded in a living room. The track was produced and edited by Mike Cochran at Homegrown Recordings. It was engineered, mixed, and mastered by TK King at Tornado House Studios. This release is the band's 1st with Verb Records.
We had way too much fun recording this song and video!" -Joe Crowe (Drummer)
Ready (Live Acoustic)
Ready was written by Mike and Sonny Jo Cochran. This version was recorded at Bittersweet Coffeehouse (previously in Huntington, WV) prior to the release of "Run to Love". The track was produced, engineered, edited, mixed, and mastered by Mike Cochran at Homegrown Recordings.
"This was our 1st attempt at a live recording/video shoot. I think it turned out pretty well." -Mike Cochran (Lead Singer)
RUN TO LOVE
Run to Love is the band's 1st full-length release. It features 10 original tracks written by Mike Cochran, Sonny Jo Cochran, Joe Crowe, and Shane Stevens. Recorded and produced by Mike Cochran. Mixed by Jake Rye at Social Recording. Mastered by Mike Cervantes at The Foxboro.
"We are so proud of this record! We love these songs! They are energetic and so much fun to play live. Beyond the music, the message in each song is what we want our ministry to be about!" -Mike Cochran (Lead singer)
After embarking on a Christmas mini-tour in 2014, the band set out to record their 1st Christmas album. In November 2015, they released the 1st of two Christmas EPs recorded and produced by lead singer Mike Cochran, mixed and mastered by Nick Joyce of Green Meteor Music. This record features 4 Christmas Carols uniquely arranged by the band, as well as, one original song by drummer Joe Crowe.
